The morning of November 20th brought an unpleasant surprise for school commuters, office goers, and school vans, as the Trisakthi Amman Koil road connecting Thalambur main road was abruptly blocked due to stormwater drain work. Unfortunately, the message notifying residents about this major disruption was sent only at 7:18 AM, when the roadblock was already in effect, leaving residents scrambling to adjust their plans.
This delay in communication highlights a serious lapse in coordination between the new OBs and the Panchayat. With no prior intimation or updates on the schedules of such critical infrastructure work, the lack of proactive measures caused significant discomfort and confusion among residents. Schoolchildren missed their transport, office goers were late, and school vans were forced to navigate alternative routes amidst the chaos.
Timely communication is vital to ensure that residents are prepared for disruptions. The failure to get updates from the Panchayat on the stormwater drain work schedule has not only inconvenienced the community but also raised serious concerns about the management’s ability to anticipate and mitigate such situations.
We urge the new OBs to address this communication gap immediately and establish a better mechanism to receive and relay updates in advance. Residents deserve a management team that prioritizes their convenience and ensures smoother day-to-day operations. Let’s not allow such oversights to disrupt our community’s daily lives again.
